We are working for the longevity of performers’ careers through education and action.
Our story
Our founder Hannah Tanner has been working in the fitness industry in New York since 2019. Her experience as a professional dancer paired with her knowledge of exercise led her to see that many dancers have gaps in their training. That’s where The Artist Athlete Collective comes in. Here dancers can focus on strength in a way that compliments and adds to their lives as dancers and doesn’t disrupt or take away from all the incredible work they are already doing. Hannah decided on in person classes to replicate the experience in the studio. Performers are often surrounded by peers and are receiving real time feedback from teachers. T.A.A.C. is meant to replicate this so dancers can feel as confident in the gym setting as they do in the dance studio.
Strength & Conditioning Format
Our current format is strength and conditioning. Everything from bodyweight to barbell work is involved. The goal is to experience a workout that challenges and strengthens the areas that aren’t typically focused on in a dance class but are still very much involved. This is the space to learn about form and weightlifting and most importantly learn more about your own body and how to better care for it. Class is 45 minutes with extra time to cool down post workout.
Class Times
Class times will be more of a pop-up style schedule to adapt to performers schedules for the time being. You can find our current time offerings here on our registration page.
